Jungle Princess, iPad Style by jerrycarr Jungle Princess, iPad Style by jerrycarr
And this sexy siren is the result of experimenting with Procreate on the iPad! Imma be soooo sad when the Zombie Apocalypse happens and I have to run everywhere from the walking dead, and will be unable to recharge my trusty iPad. Whatever will I draw on?

Nice! Bought Procreate myself a couple of days ago, it's an amazing application and I'm still exploring the possibilities.
I like the comic look of your image, didn't think to go that way with Procreate. I've only tried more realistic drawings with it.
And when the zombie apocalypse happens we'll go draw on toilet paper with charcoal together ^_^

Hahahaha--true dat. Just in case, I'm stockpiling sketchbooks and pens/pencils, in case we gotta go old school in the coming zombie apocalypse...

Yah, it took awhile to realize that it's just another tool. At first, it was as clunky to me as the first time I used a Wacom tablet. Now, I can't live without it...

You've fired me up to try again and persist this time! :D

I loved how the 'Brushes' app records your brush strokes so you can play it back as a movie. I thought that was really neat.

Yah, I like that about Brushes. Also, since it's recording your brushstrokes, I think you can re-play at a higher resolution, so it's better for print delivery. For some reason, though, I never really warmed up to Brushes. I'll give it another shot.

It's amazing what you can do on that thing- does it work the same way as a tablet or slightly better?

Well, it's hard to compare. I've been using Wacom tablets for almost a decade, and I love 'em--never been able to justify the expense for the big touchscreens, though.

So, I think the iPad is more enjoyable to use than a standard tablet, 'cuz you're painting right on the surface. However, there isn't any pressure sensitivity or tilt sensitivity, so you lose the natural media feel of a good tablet. Until pressure sensitivity comes to the iPad, I'll use both...
